The Make Up of Today's Great Sales Rep & What You Should Look for in Recruiting for Sales Reps

What makes today's great sales reps? 

I am not the smartest.  
I am not the most technical. 
I didn't go to MIT. 
But, I think I am a perfect example of what today's great sales rep is.

I Care. I care a lot.

I care about my potential customers. I care about what people think of me. I care about doing a great job. I care about the success of my company. I care about making myself proud. I care about others. I care about being kind. Today's great sales rep cares. They have a heart and they use that emotional intelligence to do their job well. 

I work really hard.

Okay, yes a lot of people can say that...but when you really think about what working hard really means you might see that you have more room to work harder. Today's great sales rep works a lot. They are always on call. Always ready to answer questions. But, I think they also have a work life balance and know when to put work aside to focus on personal life. 

I am always learning.

 I want to learn something new everyday.  I have a natural desire to learn.  I want to know as much as I possibly can about our product, about our competition, about anything and everything that will help me to succeed and to help our customers better. Today's great sales rep has a natural desire to learn and they proactively learn.
